Membership
We ask all members to check their registration details each year to allow us to keep our records up-to-date. Please ensure that you let us have your current email address which will enable us to correspond with you quickly and to save printing costs. You can download and print off the membership form here.

Subscriptions

The subscription rates for 2023/24 are as follows:

Full Membership                                                   £160                

Reduced Rate -under 25                                      £50

The cost includes all music hire, the services of a professional Music Director and Accompanist for rehearsals and attendance at concerts of both Otley and Ilkley Choral Society.

Payment by instalments is also possible, please speak to the treasurer for more details.

If you pay income tax and have not yet signed the Gift Aid form, please consider doing so as this makes an additional contribution to our revenues. 

Handel’s Messiah
Each member is required to provide their own copy of the Watkins Shaw version of this work for our annual performance.

A copy of Carols for Choirs is also useful to buy, as we use this for seasonal events and our Christmas social.

Dress Code for Concerts
Ladies: ALL black, trousers or long skirts, blouse or jumper with long or three quarter sleeves. No plunging neck lines, and discreet jewellery.
Gentlemen: white shirt, black trousers, dinner jacket, black bow tie.

Concert places
The seating capacity at St Margaret’s  Ilkley and Otley Parish Church is limited to a maximum concert choir of no more than 120. In the event that we have to allocate places, preference will be given to members who have a good rehearsal attendance record and who sign up early. It is important that singers attend the two pre-concert joint rehearsals
