At Ilkley Choral Society we sing wonderful large-scale choral works. We’re an Ilkley fixture, having been around for over 75 years! We currently have more than 70 members, and together with our partner choir, Otley Choral Society, we perform with around 120 voices. We’re privileged to be led in rehearsals and performance by amazing professionals – our Musical Director Alex Kyle and accompanist Robert Sudall. In concerts we employ orchestral performers from the local area, and professional soloists who perform nationally.
Singing amazing music together contributes to well-being, and taking part in our concerts is an uplifting experience! We’re always very keen to welcome new members. Membership costs less than £15 per month, half that if you’re under 30 and it’s completely free if you’re under 18! We put on four concerts a year and we meet to rehearse on Monday evenings in central Ilkley. Click here for membership info and if you have questions you can contact us.

Our next concert on 13th June at St Margaret’s Church Ilkley will be a beautiful set of works featuring John Rutter’s “Magnificat”, Francis Poulenc’s “Gloria” and Gabriel Faure’s “Cantique de Jean Racine”.

We’ll be singing again on Sat 27th June alongside two other local choirs Cantores Olicanae and Moornotes as part of the wonderful Three Choirs Concert sponsored by Ilkley Town Council. Tickets are only £5, available from The Grove bookshop and on the door.
